April 11-17th is Black Maternal Health Week. This year's theme is "Our Bodies Belong to Us: Restoring Black Autonomy and Joy!" The Ward 8 Health Council is partnering with Howard University's Center of Excellence to host the Ward 8 Maternal Summit. DC Health Link outreach staff will be onsite to distribute information to residents about health insurance options through the online health insurance marketplace and about the Special Enrollment Period.
