DC Health Link will join the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs (MOCA) at the Wharf in SE for the Ward 6 Meet and Greet. Hosted expressly for the Ward 6 community, residents will meet with agency directors and staff for an Open House that will showcase their services and available District resources. Participants will learn more about DC Values and share their concerns, challenges, and ideas on how government offices can work with the community to achieve Mayoral initiatives.

DC Health Link will brief members of the Council’s constituent services staff, about the ACA, American Rescue Plan, DC Health Link, OEP 9 outreach strategies, and the What’s New in 2022 Campaign. The briefing also outlined ways in which Council staff can support DC Health Link’s outreach, marketing, and enrollment efforts.

DC Health Link, in partnership with the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF), Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School and the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) has established Virtual One Touch Enrollment. The Virtual One Touch Enrollment events provide free one-on-one health insurance enrollment support services and resources including on-site identity proofing and verification, insurance program eligibility, Medicaid enrollment, information about premium reduction, and legal assistance.

The Mayor’s Office on LGBTQ Affairs and ServeDC will commemorate World AIDS Day at the “Story Telling and Reflection” program designed to highlight this year’s Worlds AIDS theme, “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice.” The event will bring awareness to and honor those impacted by HIV and AIDs. Attendees can expect storytelling and performances led by prominent members of the LGBTQ from the District.
