The 8th Annual Citizen Engagement Summit, hosted by Carahsoft, is a forum in which where public sector experts, and technology leaders shared digital communications information, citizen engagement strategies and best practices for increasing outreach to citizens. DC Health Link was selected to be presenter on the “Citizen-Centric Digital Communications”   panel and will share with participants on hoe using personalized, digital communications (email, social media, txt messaging, digital ads, etc.) helps the agency increase its outreach during open enrollment.

GWHCC Technology Committee Meeting

The Innovation and Technology Committee have a quarterly meeting to go over the latest programming and events lined up for the rest of the year, share the challenges you are facing to prioritize our efforts properly, and see if and how you can best get involved. During the event GHWCC and DC Health Link will have a table with flyers and resources to inform and educate attendees about the ACA and its benefits for small businesses. The GWHCC designated Program Manager will be available to answer any questions.

Wellness Ministry Health & Wellness Day at Beyond the Veil Worship Center

At this meeting of the 7th District Community Justice Advisory Network during Mental Health Awareness month, there will be a discussion of the challenges, resources and future of those in our community who are plagued my mental health concerns. Often stigmatized, these individuals as well as those who care about them, are not always aware of the options available for treatment and care. Our guest presenters will include those who work directly in balancing the lives of these individuals, and professionals who provide resources to this vulnerable population in our community.

DC Department of Housing and Community Development – 10th Annual DC Housing Expo and Home Show

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), in partnership with the Greater Washington Urban League, will host the Tenth Annual DC Housing Expo and Home Show. Over 4,000 attendees participate in this free annual event. The Expo will provide a wealth of information on housing, goods and services, and related topics. The Expo will feature home decoration and remodeling advice, home retention counseling, credit counseling, gardening products, and workshops on homeownership, home repair, and green living, among others.
